5 Vulnerable Truths I Didn’t Want You to Know
Have you ever gone to a networking meeting, asked other entrepreneurs how their business was going, and got the same answer over and over?
Great! Things are going well! I just launched a new product and I can’t complain!
It sometimes feels like there is an unspoken code of how vulnerable you can get about your business. There’s a limit to how much truth you can speak about your struggles, fears, or what “really” happens behind the scenes.
I wonder what it would look like if we got vulnerable and allowed ourselves to drop the “masks” and share our fears along with our celebrations.
- Would the fear of not being good enough or worthy organically evaporate?
- Would the feeling that you’re the only one with fears of criticism, rejection, or failure vanish?
- Would we find more love for the whole human experience (light and dark) and allow ourselves to connect on a deeper level?
Over the past 4 years, I have launched 9 coaching programs and 4 online products.
At times during those launches, parts of me had a desire to look perfect, be the all-knowing expert, and be the guru, who leaves a massive mark on the world through helping others.
I imagine that I’m not the only one who learned that perfection has to look a certain way, being the expert means that I have to have all the answers, and to help others I have to already have healed all of my issues.
During my launches, I had several awkward moments of trying to appear glitzy and glammy or be the perfectly, healed expert with all the answers.
